University Scholars: Benefits and Conditions

The University of Ilorin celebrates exceptional academic achievement through its Scholars Reward Initiative. The initiative identifies and rewards students who consistently demonstrate outstanding academic performance and maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.00 and above, often leading their respective classes in various departments.

Benefits for University of Ilorin Scholars include:

  • Financial Support: An annual stipend of ₦95,700 for College of Health Sciences students and ₦93,400 for students from other Faculties are given to aid their educational journey and motivation to maintain standards.
  • Recognition: Scholars are given the privilege to attend and be recognized at key university events, such as Convocation, Matriculation, and Inaugural Lectures, highlighting their distinguished status within the academic community.

In most cases, students who are scholars graduate with First Class Honours in the respective courses of study.
